【摘要】:1.1Theserequirementscoverballastsoftheresistance,reactance,andelectronic(highfrequency)typesforusewithfluorescentlampsinvolvingapotentialof2500voltsorlessinaccordancewiththeNationalElectricalCode,ANSI/NFPA70.1.2Afluorescent-lampballastmaybedeterminedbyinvestigationtobeacceptableforuse,inafixtureorotherdevice,withelectric-dischargelampsofotherthanthefluorescenttype.1.3FluorescentselfballastedlampsandballastadaptorsareevaluatedusingtheStandardforSelf-BallastedLampsandLampAdapters,UL1993.ThecomponentballastisevaluatedtorequirementsinthisStandard.1.4Aproductthatcontainsfeatures,characteristics,components,materials,orsystemsnewordifferentfromthosecoveredbytherequirementsinthisstandard,andthatinvolvesariskoffireorofelectricshockorinjurytopersonsshallbeevaluatedusingappropriateadditionalcomponentandend-productrequirementstomaintainthelevelofsafetyasoriginallyanticipatedbytheintentofthisstandard.Aproductwhosefeatures,characteristics,components,materials,orsystemsconflictwithspecificrequirementsorprovisionsofthisstandarddoesnotcomplywiththisstandard.Revisionofrequirementsshallbeproposedandadoptedinconformancewiththemethodsemployedfordevelopment,revision,andimplementationofthisstandard.
