【摘要】:ThispartofBS?7371?specifiesrequirementsforsherardizedcoatingsonironandsteelfastenersandaccessoriesappliedbythermaldiffusionofzincpowderontoacomponent’ssurface.NOTEHydrogenembrittlementisnotinducedasaresultofthiscoatingprocess.Thecoatingconsistsofzinc/ironalloys,whicharesubsequentlytreatedusingeitherazincphosphatetreatment(seeBS7371-9:1996,Type2)orasuitablesubstitutetreatmentsimilartothoseusedinelectroplatingzinc(seeBS7371-3:2009)andmechanicalplating(seeBS?7371-7:2010).Thisresultsinadustfreesurface,which,whenrequired,canbelubricatedtogivecontrolledtorque/clampingforceproperties(see?BS?7371?2:1993).InadditiontotherequirementsinthispartofBS7371,therequirementsinBS7371-1:2009thatareapplicabletosherardizedcoatingsapply.ThispartofBS?7371?alsospecifiesrequirementsfor:a)thelocalcoatingthicknessforsixgradesofcoating;b)possibletypesofposttreatment;c)theassessmentofcorrosionresistanceofunusedcoatedpartswhensubjectedtoneutralsaltspraytesting(seeBSENISO9227-2006).
