【摘要】:Thetestmethodsdescribeproceduresforidentifyingthewiresideofpapermadeonaone-wirefourdrinierpapermachine.Itisdesirabletohavemeansofdistinguishingbetweenthetwosidesbecausetheygenerallydifferinsomephysicalandchemicalcharacteristics.Itisnotalwayspossibletoidentifythesides,particularlywithcoatedandothersurface-treatedpapers,certainhigh-gradepapersmadefromwell-beatenragstockandspecialtiesmadewithvariationsintheusualpaper-makingpractices.Ifoneproceduredoesnotgiveadefiniteidentification,theotherproceduresshouldbetried.Nevertheless,ifanyoneofthefollowingproceduresgivesaclearresult,identificationisestablished.Theproceduresinthesetestmethodsarenotapplicabletopapermadeoncylinder,twin-wire,orotherspecialmachines.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
