【摘要】:Ingeneral,thephysicalandelectricalpropertiesofplasticsareinfluencedbytemperatureandrelativehumidityinamannerthatmateriallyaffectstestresults.Inorderthatreliablecomparisonsmaybemadeofdifferentmaterialsandbetweendifferentlaboratories,itisnecessarytostandardizethehumidityconditions,aswellasthetemperature,towhichspecimensofthesematerialsaresubjectedpriortoandduringtesting.Thispracticedefinesproceduresforconditioningplastics(althoughnotnecessarilytoequilibrium)priortotesting,andtheconditionsunderwhichtheyshallbetested.Forsomematerials,theremaybeamaterialspecificationthatrequirestheuseofthispractice,butwithsomeproceduralmodifications.Thematerialspecificationtakesprecedenceoverthispractice.Refertothematerialspecificationbeforeusingthispractice.Table1inClassificationD4000liststheASTMmaterialspecificationsthatcurrentlyexist.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Note1-ISO291isrelatedtothispractice;however,ISO291describesonlytwotemperatureandhumidityconditionsforconditioningortesting,orboth.
