【摘要】:Thisguidecanbeusedtoproduceaspecificationfortheacousticalperformanceofanenclosure.Thisguideisintendedforthosefamiliarwithbasicconceptsofacoustics.Althoughthisguideprovidesdetailedguidanceinmattersrelatingtospecificationofacousticalenclosures,itisnotasubstitutefortheexperienceandjudgmentofanacousticalornoisecontrolprofessional.Thisguidecallsformeasurementscommonwithinacousticalpractice.Themorecriticaltheperformancerequirementsoftheenclosure,themoretheusershouldconsiderseekingtheservicesofanacousticsornoisecontrolprofessional.Thespecifyingofasound-isolatingenclosurehasthreesequentialsteps:Determinethesoundpressurelevelsthatexistatspecificlocationspriortotheintroductionoftheenclosure,Note18212;Inthecaseofnewconstruction,thesoundpressurelevelisoftenestimatedfromthesoundpowerlevelsofnoise-emittingequipmentandageneraldescriptionoftheacousticalpropertiesoftheenvironment.Determinethemaximumpermissiblesoundpressurelevelsthatmustexistatthesamelocationsaftertheintroductionoftheenclosure,andDeterminetherequiredenclosurelevelreduction.Therequiredisolationisrelatedtothedifferencebetweenthesoundpressurelevelsbeforeandaftertheintroductionoftheenclosure.Manyspecificationsareformultipleenclosuresorenclosureswithmultiplefunctions,orboth.Itisbeyondthescopeofthisguidetoprovidedetailedguidanceforeverypossiblecombination.Separatespecificationsforeachsource-enclosure-receivercombinationshouldbeusedinsuchacase.Thetypeofspecificationthatshouldbeselecteddependsbothonthepurposeoftheenclosureandhowcrucialitsperformanceis.Ingeneral:Ifexceedingaparticularmaximumpermissiblesoundpressurelevelspectrumwouldrendertheenclosureunsuccessful,asoundpressurelevelspecificationshouldbeused.Thisguideassignsallphasesofacousticaldesignaredelegatedtothesupplier.Complianceisusuallymoreeasilyverifiedthanwiththelevelreductionmethod.Ifthecriteriaforthesuccessoftheenclosurearelessstringentornotrelatedtoaspecificmaximumpermissiblespectrum,alevelreductionspecificationmaybeused.1.1Theguidecoversthedevelopmentofcriteriafortheacousticalperformanceofabroadvarietyofacousticalenclosuresbyidentifyinginformationnecessarytounambiguouslydescribeacousticalperformance.ThisguideisnotastandardASTMspecificationforasound-isolatingenclosure.1.2Excludedfromthescopeofthisguidearetechnicalconsiderationsforenclosuredesignthatdonotpertaindirectlytoacousticalperformance.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
